A SPECIAL BEANIE
This cap has a history that makes it special to us.
We were looking for solutions to 2 problems :
- create an accessory that had a special value;
- recover some of our faulty or damaged t-shirts, otherwise destined to become waste.
Two exciting, complex challenges, but which ultimately led us to an extraordinary solution.
The "THINK" beanie it is the first stage of our journey towards an increasingly more fashionable approach circular and responsible.
If curiosity drives you to find out more, keep reading.
here are the 4 steps that tell its story:
1) THE CHOICE OF FABRIC

For the beanie we chose fabrics made in an ethical way and with low environmental impact . As always.
Excellent start, but we were not satisfied.
2) DIFFERENTIATING IDEAS AND PROJECTS
How to make our cap different from the millions you see around? The label !
The label should finally have a value and not be the classic decoration with the brand logo.
We took pencils, sheets and designed solutions to create a simple, direct design with enormous communicative power.
That strength that a word can convey.
3) FABRIC RECOVERY
To create the label we could have turned to some company.
Instead, we chose to work at zero km , recovering the fabric from our warehouse t-shirts that were ruined and destined to be thrown away because they cannot be resold.
We gave it a second life , printing the graphics of our labels on the unused part.
It's our upcycling project, also used for the "DREAM" sweatshirt and t-shirt for "MOVE ON" trousers .
Each t-shirt recovered allowed us to create at least 28 labels .
4) THE VALUE OF TIME

The last step of this upcycling project reminded us how wonderful it is to slow down.
Luca, listening to De Andrè's records, cut and sewed the labels one by one, celebrating the importance of a slow and human-scale fashion world.
“ THINK ” may sound lonely a cap.
Now you know that it is much more .
The label has a disruptive force with its message, a lived-in look, the beauty of the imperfection of a handcrafted seam.
It will be eternally precious.
Precious like a journey, a smile, a thought. Your.
WAIT!
You're missing the last part of the story.
You may be wondering: " And what's left of the t-shirt?"
The sleeves become small dust rags (we always need them), while for the part where the old graphics were printed, we had a better idea....
Here's the solution!
